The days it is shut

Mondays, 1 January and 25 December. That is the pattern to plan a Florence trip around, and it is the commonest way people lose a day here: they arrive on a Monday with an afternoon free and find the gallery dark. If your trip has only one flexible day in it, do not let that day be a Monday.

Why we do not print the times

Because they move. Seasonal schedules change, evening openings are added and withdrawn, and a closing time typed into a web page one year is a wasted journey the next. Slots matter more than hours

For the corridor the gallery’s opening hours matter less than your reservation. Access is by timed entry, reservation is mandatory, and you are asked to be at the meeting point shortly before your slot.
